~ Manuge et Toi is a couture, collaborative design service. We take the process from start to finish – from realizing the design to constructing the reality.

~ We do not wish to create designs that are brought to us complete; We feel this is a poor use of our talents (and it takes all of the fun out of it for us!). If you have a completed design that you wish to be made for you, please consult a dressmaker or tailor.

~ Deposits are there to protect you, and to protect us.

~ A deposit given well in advance of the work ensures that we have booked the appropriate amount of time out of our lives to serve you, and no one else.

~ A deposit given at the beginning of a project ensures Manuge et Toi that our time, energy, creativity and skills are being well-invested in a reliable client.

~ If, for any reason, after tendering your deposit you must cancel or postpone the project, there will be absolutely no refunds. At our discretion, your deposit balance may be returned to you in the form of Manuge et Toi credit, which can be used toward future projects or given to a friend in the form of a gift certificate.

~ The deposit on any Manuge et Toi corset is a flat $200, regardless of the total cost. Deposits on anything else are based on the estimated final cost, and may represent up to 50% of total service charges.

~ Clients must pay, or reimburse, for all materials used.

~ For your convenience, Manuge et Toi keeps a stock of proper steel bones, busks, coutil, grommets and lacing for corsetry. A supply fee of $50-$90 applies on all corsets to pay for supplies used, unless the client prefers to provide their own.

~ We make every effort to book appointments at times convenient for our clients, and to hit their deadlines. We expect the same respect for our schedules, in return.

~ Being more than 45 minutes late for an appointment will result in an extra $25 added to your final balance.

~ Full payment has been made for services rendered.

~ There has been a final fitting** of the finished product, and both parties are satisfied.

** The exception to this rule is, of course, for clients who chose to deal with us through the postal system due to geographical location.

However, if a client wishes our in-person service, it is their responsibility to make themselves available for the final fitting. Client travel expenses are not the responsibility of Manuge et Toi and will not affect our prices under any circumstance.

~ Always let us know right away, if you notice there is something about your garment or accessory that needs to be adjusted or repaired. We want to keep you looking great, so that you keep us looking great - and it’s much easier to do that if we can fix any small wear and tear before it has a chance to get ugly!

~ All work by Manuge et Toi is guaranteed. This means that we will happily do any repairs or upkeep on our pieces absolutely free of charge, on the condition that the wear and tear seems to be the result of reasonable and careful use. We reserve the right to charge for repairs if we feel proper care has not been given to the item in question.

~ Always check with us for information on how to properly care for the things we make for you. Generally, all Manuge et Toi items are dry clean or hand-wash only.

~ Corsets, however, need very specific care instructions. Please make sure you get those from us and follow them carefully to ensure your corsets stay beautiful and last long.
